According to Fox 5 Cleveland, three people were killed in a shooting in downtown Cincinnati Thursday morning. The gunman is also dead, taken out by a police bullet.

Cincinnati Police Chief Eliot Isaac said the shooter entered the 5/3 Tower via the loading dock. That person began firing shots there and then proceeded to the lobby.

There are five victims who were injured, and three of those victims died. One died at the scene and the others at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The motive for the shooting is still unclear. Cincinnati Police Chief Eliot Isaac said the shooter entered the building, which is headquarters of Fifth Third Bank and opened fire.

Police are still advising people in the immediate vicinity to remain on lockdown until they are able to verify that there was a single gunman and that the coast is now clear.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The FBI has responded to the scene and is assisting Cincinnati police in their investigation, the bureau said.

This is a developing story. Updates will be added as new information becomes available.
