On Monday, Kathy Griffin, the Trump-hating alleged comedian who made news with a highly offensive photo showing her holding a facsimile of Donald Trump’s bloody severed head, claimed on Twitter that she’s been placed on a “kill list” and is allegedly receiving death threats. Naturally, she blamed President Trump and his supporters for her woes.
“In fact, I just found out I’m on a brand new ‘Kill List.’ Constant death threats and threats of violence toward me in very specific ways. None of the social media platforms I need to make a living and sell my tour tickets will step in and help at all,” she said in a somewhat lengthy Twitter thread.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
She added: “So these people or robots or whatever feel more empowered. Trump, and his game [sic] criminals, and the right leaning alt-right media have not let up on me. You’re probably not aware of this because I’m assuming that if you are reading this you are not part of that group!”

Evidently the conspiracy against her is working, according to an article The Wrap, which quotes her as alleging that “Ryan Seacrest is ‘mad’ at me and spreading the word around” because she had hired a stylist who accused him of improper behavior.
Griffin also said that someone “in the booking dept.” of Stephen Colbert’s show has a “‘bad taste’ about me in their mouth,” saying she’s heard it’s because her former publicist said something “that I am not privy to.”
Griffin also said that someone at “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” a “show I have done many times for free, ” has “a ‘problem with me’” and they’re “spreading the word around.”
To the impartial observer, it appears Griffin is suffering from sort of persecution complex. So far, she has offered no evidence to back up any of her claims.
As for the public reaction to her lament, some on social media have been sympathetic, others less so:
You’re actually an egotist who can’t stand that nobody cares anymore, so you make absurd statements to garner attention. Not a new concept

One person put it succinctly:
Did you ever stop to think that people hate you because you’re a vile person?
