“Let them eat sh*t.” That might be the motto of Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi’s latest stunt.
Reminiscent of her defiant march around the Capitol following the passage of Obamacare, wielding a giant gavel, the former speaker of the House decided that the Democrat-driven shutdown of the federal government wouldn’t be complete without a celebration.
So she invited the Democratic members of the House of Representatives out to dinner at the pricey Italian restaurant Aqua al 2 (where antipasti run as high as $24, main courses to $36).
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The U.S. military meantime will not be receiving pay, but — hey! — mangia, right?
Needless to say, the news was not well received by the families of our troops, especially those stationed overseas, who reacted on Twitter.

My son in law (1 tour in Iraq, 1 tour in Afghanistan & an Army Recruiter) and daughter wonder how they’ll buy groceries when they won’t get paid…oh, and their rent is due Feb 1st. But let them eat cake, right Nancy?
