Atlanta Fox affiliate WAGA reported late last Thursday that three teenagers had been arrested by Gwinnet County (Ga.) sheriff’s deputies in connection with a home break-in in which a mother of two was brutalized and raped her as her horrified children looked on. According to the latest information (h/t Breitbart), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has ordered that one of the suspects be kept on “immigration hold” (also known as immigration detainer) for further questioning.
Two of the suspects have been identified as 17-year-old Francisco Palencia and 19-year-old Josue Ramirez. The third suspect is 15-year-old female who remains unidentified. Ramirez is the suspect of interest to ICE. All three are facing charges that include kidnapping, rape, cruelty to children, home invasion, aggravated sodomy, and aggravated battery.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The victim told police that two young men broke into her home on May 12, shocked her with stun guns, and forced her into her bedroom. The woman maintains that she tried to resist but had scalding water dumped on her for her efforts.
Once in the bedroom, the victim was stripped of her clothing and raped. As this horrendous crime was being committed, the third female suspect ransacked the home.
The woman’s youngest child was in a car seat near the kitchen during the attack, and her other child followed her into the bedroom and witnessed the sexual assault.
The suspects left the home through the front door and the woman called 911, the police report said.
Investigators said the mother suffered burns to her neck, left shoulder and left arm. She was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in Duluth.
The WAGA report ends here, leaving one to speculate on the permanent emotional scars this traumatic experience will leave on the victim and her young children.
