Navy SEALs parachute into PETCO Stadium for Opening Day

These things are always fun to watch, but we usually get the view from the fan’s perspective.  In this clip, we get to watch the descent from the SEAL’s-eye view.

Not every city is lucky enough to have a big concentration of Navy and Marine Corps assets.  The San Diego Padres have a good relationship with the local military, of course.  (With their, um, unsatisfactory seasons recently – 76-86 in 2013 – they can use all the help they can get.)  There’s military participation in the opening of just about every home game.

But most of them aren’t quite this dramatic.  And yes, San Diego always looks like that on 30 March.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
