[Ed. – Something remains quite peculiar about this whole situation.  Haitian police have arrested another American, who apparently was involved in hiring the team that breached the presidential residence and attacked Moise.  At least one of the arrested Americans is reportedly a DEA informant.  After all the troubled water under the bridge between the U.S. and Haiti in recent years, seems odd that Haiti would be so all-fired anxious to have U.S. troops come in.]

Interim Haitian Prime Minister Claude Joseph raised the idea of U.S. military support, perhaps as part of an international peacekeeping mission, in a phone call on Wednesday with Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. A senior official initially told Reuters that the Biden administration had “no plans to provide U.S. military assistance at this time.” …
