Former Congressman Jason Chaffetz told Fox’s “Hannity” that he would consider challenging fellow Utah resident and Republican Sen. Mitt Romney after his guilty vote against former President Donald Trump in the impeachment trial.
Chaffetz represented Utah’s 3rd Congressional District in the House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 but decided not to run for reelection and is now a Fox contributor.
The Utah Republican Party declined to censure Romney, who is up for reelection as a senator from Utah in 2024.

Instead the state’s GOP stated that “we look forward to each senator explaining their votes to the people of Utah,” according to The Epoch Times.
But other Republicans in the state are endorsing a draft censure motion, declaring that Romney betrayed the party and the Constitution with his guilty vote.
