Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley started a political action committee dedicated to creating a conservative majority in Congress that could also help pave the way to a 2024 presidential run.
The 48-year-old, two-time South Carolina governor announced the Stand for America PAC on Wednesday, saying in an email to supporters that it will be “laser-focused on the 2022 midterms and electing a conservative force to the House of Representatives and U.S. Senate to serve as a bulwark against the liberal agendas of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi.”
The PAC is designed to support candidates who are “principled conservatives,” will “stand up for the ideas our country was founded on,” and “understand that Democrats’ liberal policies undermine our freedom,” according to the PAC’s website, which is already accepting donations.
