The former SNP MP Margaret Ferrier has been arrested by police and charged with culpable and reckless conduct for allegedly breaking coronavirus rules.
The Rutherglen and Hamilton and West MP admitted travelling between Glasgow and London with Covid last September.
She took a train south while showing symptoms rather than self-isolating, then took a train home after getting a positive test result.
Despite Nicola Sturgeon leading calls for her to resign, Ms Ferrier refused to give up her £82,000-a-year job and she nows sits at Westminster as an independent.
The 60-year-old later apologised and described her actions as “a blip” and blamed the virus for “acting out of character”.
Ms Ferrier won the Rutherglen seat from Labour in 2015, lost it in 2017, then regained it in 2019.
