Virus terrors: Brits admonished not to drive to Wales for exercise

[Ed. – If there were big population centers on California’s state line with Arizona, Nevada, and Oregon, Gavin Newsom would presumably be doing something that’s basically the converse of this.  (The UK warning is to keep Brits out of Wales, where they’re prohibiting “non-essential” travel.)  As it is, California is way too close to the Pacific Ocean, giving its resident all kinds of unauthorized ideas about exercise.]

People have been warned they are not allowed to drive from England into Wales for exercise as the two countries move to different lockdown rules.

Rules have been relaxed in England, meaning people can “drive to other destinations”.

In Wales, people cannot travel “a significant distance” from home.

Police forces in Wales have the power to fine people for making non-essential journeys and that includes those travelling from England into Wales.
