Actor John Cusack calls for Trump’s removal from office to ‘save lives’

Actor John Cusack said President Trump needs to be removed from office and strikes need to be organized in the United States amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“We need strikes,” Cusack tweeted Tuesday. “And we need to remove trump from power to save lives.”

Cusack continued: “Impeach him again. Pressure for the 25th.”

Trump was impeached by the House on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress but acquitted by the Senate earlier this year.

The 25th Amendment to the Constitution dictates the vice president assumes the presidency if the president dies, resigns, or is removed from office.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, several celebrities have criticized Trump’s response, including Alec Baldwin.
