[Ed. – In fact, the FBI has been called in for an assist. We can hope that’s a good thing. But the Amador (CA) County Sheriff’s office is firm that the investigation is ongoing and no determination of the circumstances of death has been made. Initial report and assessment by LU here. The Amador County Sheriff’s Office released a statement Monday evening about the investigation into the shooting death of Obama DHS whistleblower Philip Haney who was found dead with a single gunshot by his car on a road in Plymouth, California on Friday morning. A firearm was found near his body and the car. The statement makes clear there has been no determination of suicide yet, contrary to incorrect readings of the initial statement released Saturday that described the scene as an apparent suicide but noted the investigation was active and ongoing.
