House Republicans eye criminal referrals for Mueller team; ‘may have misled’ courts, Congress

[Ed. – A follow-up to yesterday’s report about newly released FBI 302s undermining the basis for the Mueller team’s own criminal referrals.  That would be even worse than simply laying perjury traps.  Hiding exculpatory information to mislead the courts would shock the conscience at a new level.]

Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, told Just the News that his team has been scouring recent documents released by the FBI, including witness reports known as 302s, and found glaring evidence that contradicts claims the Mueller team made to courts and Congress.

The new FBI memos provide “our first evidence of the Mueller team lying to the court. It a lie. It’s a total lie,” the lawmaker said, referring to the Mueller team’s claim that Papadopoulos tried to hinder efforts to locate and question Mifsud.

Nunes’ next referrals would be the first to target the Mueller team, and could force the Justice Department to investigate the special counsel team’s members or review the accuracy of Mueller’s final report.
