House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) says Congress will continue to investigate President Trump despite his impeachment acquittal earlier today.
The Congressman told CNN’s Manu Raju that it was “likely” that Democrats would subpoena former National Security Adviser John Bolton and continue to investigate the president.
“First of all, I think when you have a lawless president, you have to bring that to the fore and you have to spotlight that. You have to protect the Constitution, whatever the political consequences. Second of all, no, as more and more lawlessness comes out, I presume the public will understand that,” Nadler said.
Bolton … dominated headlines … after the New York Times reported that “multiple sources” … claimed that President Trump told the former National Security Adviser that he wished to withhold security aid from Ukraine until they provided information on his political rivals.
