Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Thursday will introduce a resolution in the Senate condemning the House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry that is focused on President Trump’s request of the Ukranian president to look into former Vice President Joe Biden’s and his son Hunter Biden’s dealings in the country and whether Trump held up military aid to try to pressure the country to do so.
Graham is arguing that any articles arising from the inquiry should be dismissed in the Senate without a trial.
The House is holding near-daily closed-door depositions with current and former administration officials as part of their inquiry.
House Republicans stormed a closed-door hearing Wednesday to protest the process, breaking up the deposition of a top Defense Department official.
The announcement was scheduled to begin shortly after 3 p.m.
