President Trump said he was joking about building a border wall in Colorado after facing mockery online.
Trump, speaking in Pennsylvania Wednesday, seemed to mess up his geography when he told a crowd with a serious face that in addition to border wall construction in New Mexico and Texas, “We’re building a wall in Colorado.”
Responding to criticism Thursday morning, Trump tweeted, “(Kiddingly) We’re building a Wall in Colorado”(then stated, “we’re not building a Wall in Kansas but they get the benefit of the Wall we’re building on the Border”) refered to people in the very packed auditorium, from Colorado & Kansas, getting the benefit of the Border Wall!”
Trump made the initial comments at the Shale Insight Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, while touting new border wall construction to prevent illegal immigrants from entering from Mexico.
