A man in Georgia shot and killed three teenagers as they attempted to rob residents of the home.
The incident happened at about 4 a.m. Monday morning in Rockdale County, Georgia. Law enforcement said the three teens, with their faces covered, one 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds, approached three residents in the front yard of a home in an attempt to rob them, according to WSB-TV 2. Two of the teens were siblings and were identified by their aunt, LaShawn Thornton, as 16-year-old Isaiah Reid and 15-year-old Jaime Hernandez.
One of the youths allegedly pulled out a gun and fired a few shots, prompting one of the residents, reportedly a male truck driver who owns a semi-automatic rifle and is protective of his mother, to return fire and shoot all three. The homeowner called 911 after the shooting.
