[Ed. – It will open in D.C. with screen actors in the title roles. Apparently it will be filmed and further distributed that way. Washingtonians have taken to their fainting couches. Of course, if they’re doing close-ups when they film the play, there will be one moment for Dean Cain awaited by everyone in America. See feature image.]
Disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok will be the subject of a new Washington D.C.-based play entitled, “FBI Lovebirds: Undercovers.” The production will focus on Strzok’s infamous string of anti-Trump text messages between July 2015 and July 2017 with FBI lawyer Lisa Page, with whom he was having an extramarital affair. The project is being advertised as “a dramatized stage reading” of the pair’s correspondence and will be produced by Phelim McAleer, the author and filmmaker behind Gosnell: The Movie. McAleer also put on the 2015 play “Ferguson,” in which actors read aloud the grand jury transcripts from the case involving the police shooting of an African-American man, Michael Brown. “FBI Lovebirds” will be financed via Crowdfunding.
Dean Cain, known for playing “Superman” in the TV show “Lois & Clark“ and who had a feature role in Gosnell, will be starring as Strzok. The role of Page will be played by Kristy Swanson, who had the title role in the 1994 cult hit film Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
