Rep. Nadler: Mueller report has ‘intent of providing a road map’ for congressional probe

[Ed. – Now that’s a cockeyed optimist.]

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler said the special counsel Robert Mueller’s report was written “with the intent of providing Congress a roadmap” to investigate President Trump for obstruction of justice.

Nadler, speaking at a New York press conference Thursday, made it clear House Democratic investigators are just getting started with probing Trump and plan to use the 400-plus page Mueller report to fuel the inquiry.

Mueller “made it clear he did not exonerate the president and responsibility now falls to Congress” to continue the investigation and his report was meant to “preserve the evidence” for future investigations,” Nadler said.
