All they have is exit polls right now to indicate that Gantz and Netanyahu, with their assumed coalition seats in the Knesset added up, are in a 60-60 tie.  Gantz’s Blue-and-White Party is at 37 seats in its own right, to Likud’s 36.  But again, that’s based on exit polls, not a full vote count.  Netanyahu, who can still potentially form a governing coalition — and is considered likelier to succeed in that — has also claimed victory.  Stay tuned.]

Opinion polls show Gantz’s party tied or with a slight lead over Netanyahu’s Likud, though the polls appear to give Netanyahu a better chance of cobbling together a parliamentary majority with his hard-line ideological allies. …

Both Prime Minister Netanyahu and the leaders of the rival Blue and White party, former military chief Benny Gantz and centrist politician Yair Lapid, have declared victory in Israel’s elections as murky exit-poll predictions rolled in.
