Detroit family kicked off flight from Miami over alleged body odor

[Ed. – Too bad the plane wasn’t one of those fancy jobs that have showers on board.]

A family from Detroit trying return home from a Miami vacation told a local news station they were kicked off their flight.

Not because of an altercation or a drunken rampage … but because other passengers had complained about their body odor.

The family was upset and denied the idea that it was justified.

“There’s no body odor that we have,” Yossi Adler told Local Ten News in Miami at Miami International Airport. “There’s nothing wrong with us.”

The family includes Adler, his wife and their 19-month-old daughter; The flight was on American Airlines.

Adler said the family was asked to leave the flight after the gates were closed, but before the plane took off. He reported that a flight attendant told the family some people had complained about their body odor, and they were not eligible to return to the flight.

They said their luggage remained on the plane — despite the attendant telling them it would be waiting for them.
