As example of ‘border safety,’ Trump points to 10-foot wall around Obama’s mansion

President Trump does Twitter shade like no one else. This time, he called out Barack Obama’s hypocrisy for having a wall around his posh Washington, D.C. home while insisting that America forgo having a wall to protect its borders.

“President and Mrs. Obama built/has a 10-foot Wall around their D.C. mansion/compound,” Trump tweeted. “I agree, totally necessary for their safety and security. The US needs slightly larger version!”

As BizPac Review reported, when the Obamas moved into their trendy DC neighborhood in January 2017, the first thing they did was to build a wall around their home to protect their privacy and safety.

Photos of Obama’s wall were published by celebrity news website TMZ, which observed: “President Obama is taking a cue from Donald Trump … he’s building himself a wall.”


California Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi — the presumptive Speaker of the Democrat-led House of Representatives — also has protective barriers around her sprawling San Francisco mansion.
