A 19-year-old woman from Honduras is believed to be the first member of the migrant caravan to give birth on U.S. soil, Fox News reports.
Maryury Elizabeth Serrano-Hernandez was seven months pregnant when she scaled the border wall with her husband and three-year-old son and gave birth within 24 hours after traveling more than 2,000 miles through Mexico to the U.S.
After they climbed the wall, three border agents demanded that they return to Tijuana, Mexico. They refused and asked for asylum. They were processed in San Diego County at the Imperial Beach Station.
