[Ed. – Michelle Wolf: Funny as ever.]
President Trump hasn’t had the last laugh.
Comedian Michelle Wolf was ready with a punchline after the president attacked her performance at this year’s White House Correspondents’ Association dinner while teasing his possible attendance at next year’s event.
In a tweet late Tuesday, Trump said Wolf “bombed so badly” that the organization has chosen to skirt its usual tradition of inviting a comedian, instead asking author Ron Chernow to be the featured speaker. Wolf’s performance drew particular scorn over a joke targeting the physical appearance of White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
“I bet you’d be on my side if I had killed a journalist,” Wolf wrote back on Twitter, including first lady’s Melania Trump’s “Be Best” hashtag for her initiative combating cyberbullying.
