[Ed. – I don’t much care about the old rule, although the backstory is fun.  That said, have we decided what to do if a woman who actually wears a niqab — with a face covering — or a burka should get elected?]

The new rules will allow head coverings for religious reasons or medical treatment. Democrat Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, who has lost her hair due to chemotherapy, also applauded the decision.
