President Donald Trump will receive one of his first challenges for the presidential election of 2020 as Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) prepares to mount his run for the White House.
“He’s definitely running,” said a source very close with Swalwell, according to Politico.
Swalwell is scheduled to travel to Iowa over the weekend. He plans to meet the Asian & Latino Coalition in Des Moines, then spend time in Dubuque with the Iowa Democratic Party chairs.

Swalwell is 37-years-old [sic] and has been reportedly setting himself up to run for president for a while. He’s made multiple trips to various early primary voting states.
He has also endorsed at least three of the younger congressional candidates in Iowa and New Hampshire through a Future Forum PAC. Swalwell has reportedly requested list of people who could be possible staffers during his early state contests.
