A woman was arrested on suspicion of embezzling nearly $90,000 from nonprofit organizations, including multiple Girl Scout troops, authorities said Wednesday.

Deputies arrested Patricia Cascione Monday at the sheriff’s Santa Clarita Valley Station for suspicion of grand theft and theft by false pretense, then served a search warrant at her home and recovered additional evidence, according to Deputy Marvin Crowder of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles released a statement about the investigation.
