[Ed. – Well, that’s different. Apparently the poor, overstimulated bull had to be put down after it was finally corralled by a squad-car box-in. The OKC Stockyards are just south of the city’s downtown business district. When the wind is in the wrong quarter, the smell is ghastly. But if you’re ever there, the Cattlemen’s Steakhouse is a good, er, steer.]
According to police, officers responded to the report just before 10 p.m. of a rodeo bull that had escaped from the Stockyards and was running toward the downtown area.
Officers said they were unable to contain the animal and one person was nearly trampled by the bull near the Oklahoma River, and was forced to jump into the water to escape. …
Police said the bull also approached St. Anthony’s hospital and the downtown bus station several times. It nearly crushed a citizen near Northwest 3rd Street and Walker at the Goodyear tire shop, according to the police report. …
At least four officers eventually contained the bull in a “scout car corral” near Northwest 13th Street and Robinson, where the bull was secured.
😱 WOW! A rodeo bull escaped from the Stockyards Monday night and chased after people in downtown OKC. A KOCO 5 viewer shared this video, showing a cowboy and police vehicles chasing after the bull! https://t.co/2fxdBZ65qy pic.twitter.com/bOm8AwGMsL
