Department of Homeland Security officers, clad in riot gear, began removing protesters camped out at the ICE facility on SW Macadam Avenue early Thursday morning.

The US Attorney’s Office said in a statement that “At approximately 5:30am today, federal law enforcement officers initiated a law enforcement action to reopen the federal facility at 4310 SW Macadam Avenue in Portland.”
