Playing audio of labor activist and Democrat folk hero Cesar Chavez, Levin demonstrated that the stance for strict border security did not start with Trump.
“In the 1960s, Cesar Chavez, one of the main founders of the United Farm Workers, vehemently opposed illegal immigration, arguing it undermined his efforts to unionize farm workers and improve working conditions and wages for American citizens,” Levin said before playing audio of Chavez from a television interview in 1972.
“Was Cesar Chavez a racist? Was Cesar Chavez anti-immigrant?” Levin asked. “No, he wasn’t.”
Still, isn’t it funny how the Left never talks about Chavez’s vehement opposition to illegal immigration?
