[Ed. – Name one thing he’s said in the last decade that he should have said.]
Former Vice President Joe Biden on Saturday backtracked on his claim that he would have beaten up President Donald Trump in high school, telling the “Pod Save America” podcast that he “shouldn’t have said that.”
“I shouldn’t have said what I said,” Biden told the show’s hosts. “I don’t want to get down in the mosh pit with this guy.”
Biden also stressed the fact that he said, “if we were in high school,” when talking about the fight.
Biden’s remarks about the president came at the University of Miami on Tuesday while speaking at an anti-sexual assault rally.
“A guy who ended up becoming our national leader said, ‘I can grab a woman anywhere and she likes it,'” Biden said.
“They asked me if I’d like to debate this gentleman, and I said ‘no.’ I said, ‘If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.’ I’ve been in a lot of locker rooms my whole life, I’m a pretty damn good athlete. Any guy that talked that way was usually the fattest, ugliest S.O.B. in the room.”
