[Ed. – Superintendent Runcie seems to have not gotten the memo on the “assault weapons.”]

Students will return to class at the Parkland, Florida school where the recent mass shooting occurred, and school officers will be armed with be armed with semi-automatic weapons to protect them, Broward County’s superintendent announced Friday.

Semi-automatic weapons will be provided to all schools in Broward County, not just those in the city of Parkland, CBS News reports
