F-bomb dropped in ‘Saturday Night Live’ flub

Sam Rockwell took his role as a flustered science teacher a little too seriously on “Saturday Night Live.”

The Golden Globe-winning actor dropped an f-bomb during a failed attempt to inspire two young students to learn about the density of oil and water during his first sketch as host Saturday night.

“Just pour the oil into the water. The oil is … Josh, you can’t be f–king this stupid,” Rockwell blurted out. “Sorry. Kids aren’t stupid. Just say what you see. Just look at it.”

Cast members Cecily Strong and Mikey Day, portraying two young children during the “Science Room” sketch, exaggerated their shock at hearing the profane slip and continued with the scene.

It’s unclear if Rockwell intended to use the f-word, but it couldn’t be heard in the version of the sketch that was uploaded to YouTube late Saturday.

In another sketch, Kate McKinnon’s portrayal of Rockwell’s “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” castmate, Frances McDormand, responded to the Golden Globes decision to bleep a part of her acceptance speech.
