[Ed. – Hyperbole much?]
Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi claimed Monday the Republican tax bill is the end of the world. Calling the bill “armageddon,” Pelosi said, “there’s really a very hard way to come back from this.”
Speaking to reporters after the motion to send the bill to conference, the former Speaker of the House said, “This is the end of the world. The debate on health care is live/death, this is armageddon. This is a very big deal. Because, you know why? There’s really a very hard way to come back from this.”
Many liberals have been treating the Republican tax cut bill as if it was the end of the world. The New York Times editorial board encouraged readers to contact their Senators to oppose the cuts, calling the reductions “A historic tax heist.”
Historians will look back on Dec. 1, 2017 and conclude this was one of the great robberies in US history because Republicans are looting the Treasury.
