Wolf Blitzer confuses George Papadopoulos with George Stephanopoulos

[Ed. – Come on. What were the chances someone wasn’t going to make this goof?]

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer accidentally mistook political commentator George Stephanopoulos for former Donald Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos on Monday.

Blitzer made the blunder as he began a segment in which he introduced CNN reporters Jim Sciutto and Sara Murray, and asked them about the recent indictments against Paul Manafort and Rick Gates as part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

Blitzer made the gaffe and quickly corrected himself.

“Jim, tell us first of all more about the case against George Stephanopoulos—Papadopoulos, I should say—George Papadopoulos, whose role could be very significant in this investigation,” Blitzer said.
