[Ed. – So helpful.  And grown-up!  Gee, if only we had a moral titan in the Oval Office.  Look: as ever, the function of Trump seems to be exposing the jackassery of everyone else.  There is not one of them — not even one — who is in a position to disparage or lecture Trump for his character or deportment.  They keep proving that every day.  Do enough of the American people get it yet?  The old gotcha game of political sanctimony is just a game.  There’s no moral credibility behind it.]

On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” McCain responded to Trump’s claims during his commencement speech at the US Coast Guard Academy that “no politician in history…has been treated worse or more unfairly.”

“President Trump is still trying to make this a divisive political issue, saying it’s a personal attack and that no one has ever been treated as unfairly, ” David Ignatius of the Washington Post said. …

“Well, David, first of all, I have been worse treated than President Trump has, so let’s make sure that we know about that,” McCain shot back as the “Morning Joe” hosts laughed.
