When people in the small community of Oak Hill woke up Tuesday morning, they were surprised to find more than a dozen damaged buildings, signs and cars tagged with graffiti.
Pink, purple and neon green messages were written. One said, “Satan is my daddy,” another said “Sista’s for life.”
The vandals wrote expletives on church signs, the post office and the library. They also tagged a 2014 Dodge Journey with pentagrams and sprayed “fat (expletive)” on the back.
The owner, Jody Wheeler, was shocked.
“Just disbelief, just couldn’t believe that somebody would do this,” Wheeler said.
However, the vandals were caught by afternoon, officials said.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said spray paint cans led them to two 15-year-old girls.
When the Wheelers found out who the girls were, they responded with love instead of anger.
