[Ed. – There’s nutty stuff going on out there.]
Bernie Sanders’ Thursday night rally at the Chicago State University took an unexpected turn when a woman attempted to jump on stage and charge the Vermont senator.
The Democratic presidential candidate had been rallying the crowd for 45 minutes when all a woman – out of picture – got too close to him. Sanders, visibly concerned about his safety, stopped talking. A member of Sanders’ Secret Service jumped next to him, putting his arm in front of the politician to shield him.
The woman was seen being taken away from the stage and out of the main venue. A rattled Sanders took a few beats before he continued with his speech for the last few minutes of the event.
