Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton called the war on heroin a top-tier issue in her campaign during a Friday stop at the University of New Hampshire.
Clinton said that when it comes to fighting heroin, she would consider going after the source of the drug, even if it means going over the border into other countries.
“I think you have to,” Clinton said. “This has to be a comprehensive strategy. And we know that this cheap heroin that is killing so many people is coming across our border.”
Clinton spoke Thursday about addiction and substance abuse at a forum in Laconia. The event was the second community forum she has held on the issue in New Hampshire during the campaign.
