Kayakers discover man’s body floating in Brooklyn lake

Two kayakers found a man’s body in Prospect Park Lake in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, police and witnesses said.

“There were two girls on a kayak that bumped into the body,” witness Mario Henriquez, 32, said of the sad 5:30 p.m. find. “They jumped when they touched the body.”

Authorities removed the body of Abu Ghanan Khalid, 47, of Flatbush, from the lake near West Drive and Park Circle.

There was no apparent trauma to his body and the medical examiner was determining the cause of death, police said.
