Two dogs were found beheaded, skinned, and burned on the side of a road, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. A $17,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the beheading, skinning, and burning of the two dogs.
Law enforcement officials said two dogs of medium build, weighing between 25 and 35 pounds, also had their legs broken. The remains of the animals were found on the side of Jenkins Lane near Canton Hollow Road.
Tara Gillespie, a resident who lives nearby the location where the poor dogs were found,told WBIR about her shocking discovery.
“I couldn’t believe it. When I came up it took my breath away.”
Tara sat with the beheaded dogs while she waited for law enforcement personnel to arrive.
