A day after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was hammered by players, analysts and the media for a news conference he gave about the recent league scandals, an ESPN poll with more than 300,000 votes shows people think it is time for him to go.
As of 1 p.m. Saturday, 60% of the 316,323 votes in the online poll said “no” as to whether Goodell should remain as commissioner.
There is not a single state that voted in favor of Goodell remaining the leader of the NFL, according to the poll.
On Friday, during the news conference, Goodell said he has never considered resigning and said he knew for a fact all 32 team owners supported him.
During his speech, Goodell addressed the recent domestic violence scandals that have plagued the league and promised change.
