California couple accused of kidnapping 14-yr-old to make him apologize to their child

On Friday, Rebecca Carranza-Molina, 44, was at the Colusa Memorial Grove Park with her two young children when, witnesses say, the victim inadvertently hurt one of the children and made them cry. Enraged, Carranza-Molina allegedly hit the victim multiple times and took away his bike. The victim eventually got his bike back and left some people who witnessed the attack, according to a Colusa Police Department statement.

Carranza-Molina went home, got her husband, Jose Alfred Molina, 56, and the two drove their minivan back to the area of the park and spotted the victim walking in the area of 8th Street near Main Street, police say. They allegedly chased the victim down and forced him into the the van and drove back to their home. That’s when witnesses called police.

The couple reportedly forced the victim inside their home where they threatened to keeping him until he apologized to their child.

Just after 6 p.m., Colusa Police Department officers and Colusa County Sheriff’s Department deputies went to the home and took the couple into custody on charges of kidnapping, false imprisonment and child cruelty.
