A DeSoto County staffer for U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran’s re-election campaign has been arrested and fired from the campaign for allegedly taking or destroying Chris McDaniel campaign signs.
“He’s fired,” said Cochran campaign spokesman Jordan Russell of Lee Blair, field rep for Cochran in DeSoto County. “Unlike Chris McDaniel, we don’t tolerate that kind of behavior.” …
Blair is listed as a DeSoto County Republican Executive Committee member and vice chair of the county Republican Club. He could not immediately be reached for comment Monday morning.
Russell said: “McDaniel people have been tearing up our signs left and right, spray painting them, taking them. Our policy is not to respond in kind. Somebody did, and he’s been fired.”
