This week, MSNBC’s Joy Reid gave her viewers a trigger warning before airing video containing the word “Redskins,” which she called a “racial slur.” When The Opie and Anthony Show played the clip from The Reid Report Thursday morning, it set off comedian Jim Norton, who had some epically harsh words for Reid and the network.
“Who wants to live in that fucking world where every single step you take is on an eggshell and one misstep gets you fired and what was OK today is not OK tomorrow?” Norton asked after listening to Reid’s comments, before using an equally offense word that starts with a “c” to describe the anchor.
“What a groveling, awful, fucking hunk of shit network MSNBC is,” Norton added.
While the hosts understood why Native Americans might be offended by the Washington football team’s logo, they could not fathom why Reid, who’s “not related to” the issue, could be so “fragile” that she can’t even say the word out loud.
