A Texas man claims the manager of his apartment complex told him to take down his American flag because it was deemed a “threat” to the Muslim community. Duy Tran received a notice to take the flag down from his balcony and said, “What really stunned me is she said it’s a threat towards the Muslim community.”
KHOU confronted the manager, but she declined to comment, and they got security to escort the news team out. In a statement, they say, “While the Lodge on El Dorado admires our resident’s patriotism, we must enforce our property rules and guidelines.”
Tran has no plans to take the flag down and says he’s fighting to keep it there as a small way of remembering friends of his who died for the country.
