An investigation into whether the Department of Housing and Urban Development improperly promoted and implemented Obamacare will take place, according to the government accountability group Cause of Action, which requested the investigation in April, the Hill reported.
HUD’s inspector general notified the group of its decision to investigate on Friday.
“If HUD was using its resources to benefit [the Department of Health and Human Services] then they’re not using those resources to focus on HUD programs and that would raise concerns under the Anti-Deficiency Act,” Dan Epstein, Cause of Action’s executive director, told the Hill.
Epstein also said the group is concerned that other federal agencies were being politicized by the Obama administration in order to promote Obamacare.

“The bigger question is: Are politicos within either the agencies themselves or the White House essentially pressuring agencies to misuse their resources in a way that benefits the political agenda of the president,” Epstein asked.
