Family of accused murderer of WWII vet begs him to surrender

The family of 16-year-old Kenan Adams-Kinard spoke only to KHQ Saturday as police continue to search for him in connection with the beating death of 88-year-old Delbert Belton.

Both Kenan’s father and uncle asked to remain anonymous to protect the safety of the family. Right now, both stress the need for Kenan to come forward and turn himself in to police.

“He’s out there and if anybody knows where he’s at or something, they really need to contact the family because we are trying to bring him in,” Kenan’s Dad said. “We don’t want this prolonged, we really need to get this over with and get through with this and find out what’s really the situation, of really, what happened in this tragedy.”

The family says they want this all to come to an end as quickly as possible.
