CA elementary school to be named for Michelle Obama

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) board voted unanimously to name an area elementary school in first lady Michelle Obama’s honor, Tuesday.

Jeff Crain, executive officer of the board of education, confirmed to The Daily Caller that representatives at the elementary school chose the name and that the board unanimously approved it.

Obama has been raising awareness and attempting to take on the nation’s obesity epidemic with her “Let’s Move” campaign.
