Sue Dubitsky of Rome, Ga., says she was minding her own business at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when a Transportation Security Administration bomb-sniffing dog jumped up and bit her.
Dubitsky told Atlanta Business Chronicle broadcast partner WXIA-TV she was standing near the south terminal baggage claim carousel on May 2 and noticed the dog and its handler standing beside her. She said she was barely paying them any attention when the dog suddenly lunged and bit her in the lower stomach.
The TSA provides and trains bomb-sniffing dogs for airport security, WXIA adds. The dogs are handled by local law enforcement. In this case, the handler was an Atlanta Police officer, the station reports.
